WHO WE ARETHE ROLE**- An exciting opportunity exists for a Condition Monitoring Vibration Lead. This is a new role and provides an opportunity for a motivated self-starter to help develop and expand our condition monitoring vibration program. You will play a key role in ensuring plant performance by maximise equipment availability and reliability. You'll manage the vibration program on site using your experience in collecting and analysing vibration data, managing the vibration database, and reporting on equipment condition to stakeholders. You will help develop and promote the best practice of condition based monitoring working closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations to ensure that equipment health issues are identified and communicated in a clear way. Your commitment to contribute to the team and to the success of the plant is backed by your great eye for detail and strong vibration analyst skills. You'll ensure that issues are promptly and correctly diagnosed and resolved and promote a site wide reliability culture. Opportunities for training will provided relevant to the role.


Key Duties and Accountabilities:


  • Manage the vibration monitoring program for the site. This includes managing and expanding the wireless vibration condition monitoring program.
  • Collect and analyse vibration data using hand held vibration analyser on various equipment including fans, compressor, blowers, and pumps as part of a condition based routine;
  • Respond to alerts and alarms from installed vibration sensors and maintain the existing installed wireless vibration sensors.
  • Provide troubling shooting support to help diagnose equipment faults;
  • Manage the routine vibration condition monitoring program;
  • Work closely with external vibration consultant as required to help resolve complex equipment issues;
  • Support expansion of CBM program using wireless technology. Conduct trials on with different options to identify the most cost effective solutions, and install and setup sensors working closely with the IT department.
  • Maintain compliance with established maintenance and safety procedures;
  • Work closely and positively with a range of stakeholders, including Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and Operations, coordinating efforts and promoting constructive cross function communication.

To be successful in this position you need to have:

  • Trade or Engineering Qualification
  • Experience collecting and analysing vibration data.
  • Certification to Vibration Analyst Cat 1 or higher would be highly regarded.
  • Relevant industry experience with equipment vibration and condition monitoring.
  • Advanced computer skills, in particular proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and network with a variety of personnel.
  • Experience in coordinating and scheduling activities
  • Commitment to compliance and following all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and procedures
