Associate Director - Australian/New Zealand Structured Finance - 12-month contract (based in Sydney, open to working holiday visa applicant)

Australian/New Zealand Structured Finance and Covered Bonds is currently seeking an Associate Director (contract) based out of our Sydney office.

  • The Australian Structured Finance (SF) and Covered Bonds (CVB) team is currently a team of 16 analysts covering all asset classes in Australian and New Zealand SF and CVB. The role is a 12month structured finance contract to cover maternity leave.

We'll Count on You To:


  • Ensure all structured finance transactions are reviewed on a continuous 12month schedule and all transactions have been reviewed at least once a year by the due date;
  • Provide timely market/transaction performance commentary;
  • Manage queries from issuers/bankers/investors represent Fitch and communicate effectively with external transaction parties;
  • Participate in originator/servicer review meetings;
  • Adhoc projects/reporting and author reports.

What You Need to Have:


  • Undergraduate degree in a finance related discipline;
  • A minimum of 35 years structured finance experience from an issuer, arranger or trustee (preference in a credit or analytical related role) where the role required;
  • Intermediate excel skills with knowledge of following functionality [vlookup(), sumif(), if(), index(), match() etc;
  • Strong time management skills and a high level of attention to detail.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience in the Australian/New Zealand SF/CvB markets;
  • Previous credit experience;
  • Ability to mentor junior staff;
  • Suit someone returning to the SF/CvB market.
