As a video interpreter, you will accurately and professionally facilitate the language needs of non-English speaking patients in clinical or hospital settings from your home office.

This position is available Australia-wide as a remote opportunity with flexible training arrangements to suit individual needs.

Priority will be placed for the following languages
:
Turkish, Italian, Macedonian, Greek, Assyrian, Chaldean, Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Karen, and Burmese.

Responsibilities

• Provide impartial and confidential interpreting services to patients within clinical and hospital settings via remote means
• Participate in specialised training on video remote technologies
• Have a suitable athome work environment (reliable internet connection, laptop, headset)
• Comply with 2M Language Services' policies and procedures

Education and Certifications

• NAATI certification where available (evidence required).

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies

• Cultural sensitivity
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Advanced communication skills
• Familiarity with and adherence to the AUSIT Code of Ethics
• Previous interpreting experience desired
