The QA Manager - Precast Concrete will ensure the quality of manufacturing production, scheduling and sequencing of precast concrete panels engineered to the highest standards. The QA Manager - Precast Concrete will facilitate a production team culture that embeds safety, quality, and continuous improvement into every stage of manufacturing, curing, and materials handling processes. Working closely with the production team, the QA Manager - Precast Concrete will drive efficiency through accuracy of technical compliance, documentation and drawing management, and resolve incidental issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and sequencing of daily precast panel production.
• Prepare, maintain, and update procedures and processes and manage and distribute project and QA documents.
• Provide inspection control points and processes throughout the production cycle including pre-pour, post-pour, and installation inspection.
• Direct quality control and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Work with the Production Manager to continually improve overall quality, efficiency, communications, and information flow internally and externally with clients.
• Training and monitoring staff in their Quality responsibilities and ensuring the QA team are adequately supported and trained to fulfill their duties.

Suitable candidates are likely to hold degree qualifications in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or quality management and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role combined with knowledge of Australian standards (e.g. AS/NZS 9001:2015) industry codes and procedures. Experience with precast concrete, steel framing and reinforced concrete construction and the ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and engineering documents and drawings will be a critical element. Your strong problem-solving and leadership skills combined with the ability to understand and implement effective quality assurance and quality control procedures, diagnose and remedy concrete strength or consistency issues, will ensure your success and the rewards that follow.
