Housing Support Case
Worker
- Part time
- Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
- The Housing Support Case Worker will provide case support to the Transitional Housing Program. The transitional housing program provide case management to clients in Salvation Army transitional houses. Transitional housing clients are provided with support to connect to community and increase there capacity and wellbeing.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes -
Essential:
- An understanding of the issues relating to homelessness and the impact of homelessness on adults and children.
- Understanding of the impacts of family violence, substance abuse, mental health concerns or disability on families and children.
- Ability to provide confidential, flexible and responsive support in a variety of settings
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
- Demonstrated written and verbal skills and computer literacy
- Willingness to participate in further training and professional development.
- Current Driver's License, working with children's check, recent polices check and immunisations in line with hospital policy.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification in social work, welfare studies or other related areas.
