About the role:
An opportunity has arisen in the Central Specimen Reception (CSR) Department for a technical assistant in our friendly and dynamic team.
The main duties involve the receipt and processing of pathology request forms and specimens, and general administrative duties in a very busy work environment.
This is a shift work position, with occasional overnight shifts.With an emphasis on a team approach, this position is suitable for an enthusiastic and hardworking person who has a strong attention to detail.

Selection Criteria
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
- Demonstrated qualifications and/or experience in relevant area of pathology
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus with excellent service skills and telephone etiquette
- Accurate and timely data entry skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to work unsupervised and to multi-task
- Demonstrated attention to detail
