Better Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Family Counsellor to join our Resilient Communities program.

As part of our experienced counselling team, you will deliver timely and quality counselling services to individuals, couples, children, and families.

Join a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for individuals, couples, children, and families seeking counselling services.
  • Provide centerbased counselling interventions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of therapeutic group programs.
  • Offer secondary consultation to health professionals.
  • Complete administrative duties including assessments and case notes.

Requirements and Attributes

  • Degree or Diploma in social work or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in counselling and/or Family Therapy
  • Minimum of two years' experience in family counselling
  • Knowledge of evidencebased therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the Social Model of Health
