Vimba Warta is currently seeking Boilermakers on a 8/6 roster.

About the role:
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the operations within the Surface Maintenance team in the auxiliaries area at Olympic Dam.
In this role, the Boilermaker must adhere to all operating requirements, and work both collaboratively and efficiently with the greater team to achieve departmental targets while maintaining a safety focused approach.
In this role you will:
- Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
- Provide boiler making trade skills to perform unplanned and/or breakdown maintenance
- Assist with planned maintenance work where applicable
- Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress
- Develop a close working relationship with Mine personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and rectified immediately
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way
- Trade qualifications (essential)
- Previous experience with a range of fixed plant and equipment (highly desirable)
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously when required
- A team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
