The Opportunity

We are currently advertising multiple Transmission Line Design Drafter opportunities which will provide a range of electrical and/or civil/structural design drafting activities associated with high voltage substations to deliver practical and high-quality drawings that comply with appropriate technical principles, standards, and construction practices, whilst fully considering existing and new technologies in drafting.

Provide drafting services in the area of electrical and/or civil/structural infrastructure for primary substation design for both internal and external Customer Projects so that project outcomes are met whilst being compliant with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and practices
Comply with drafting processes and associated documentation for transmission line Electrical/Civil/Structural Designs to satisfy relevant legislation
Provide drafting intelligence and support for the group and the corporation and manage external contractors to ensure compliance with design quality standards.
Ensure that drawings and associated activities provide value for money, and are costefficient, constructible, on time, and on budget.
Develop and review drafting standards in alignment with internal practices

Requirement

Associate Diploma in Electrical and/or Civil and Structural Engineering plus relevant significant experience in Transmission Engineering Design Drafting (Electrical and or Civil/Structural).
Knowledge and drafting capability with respect to all components for transmission line projects and demonstrated knowledge of transmission line construction and maintenance practices.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or PLS-CADD and other related CAD software
Knowledge and drafting capability with respect to the following:
Transmission line structures (lattice towers & poles), foundations, hardware, underground cables and fittings, and associated works for transmission line structures
Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards applicable to transmission substations and/or line design, and other related codes such as Quality Assurance, General Conditions of Contract, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements
