Permanent Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week


Salary:
(Grade 12 Market)+ Leaseback vehicle

ABOUT THE ROLE


Liverpool City Council is seeking Environmental Health Officer to promote public and environmental Health and community wellbeing by undertaking inspections and education to ensure regulatory compliance.


The role will also see you:

  • Inspecting food premises, beauty and hair salons, skin penetration premises, swimming and spa pools, including the investigation of environmental complaints.
  • Inspecting onsite sewage management systems and resolving public health and environmental issues as they arise in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertaking continuous proactive surveillance of commercial establishments
  • Preparing and implementing education programs which seek to improve environmental health and community wellbeing.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, the successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or equivalent
  • Current Class C Drivers License.
  • Experience in the investigation, monitoring and inspection of premises.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills

Salary will be negotiated and will be dependent on the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant. This position includes a Leaseback Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance.
