Underwriting Assistant
Join a dynamic global reinsurance and insurance provider on their journey of expansion and diversification.

Currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Assistant to play a crucial role in supporting underwriting activities across various lines of business.


Role Purpose:

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be a key member of the Operations Underwriting Support team, contributing to accurate risk assessment, record-keeping, and reporting.

Collaborate with underwriters on classes such as Property, Energy, Marine, Aviation, Financial Lines, or A&H.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Summarize slip terms, calculate premiums and exposures, ensuring accurate entry into Underwriting System(s).
  • Maintain a complete and accurate audit trail of all substantive business activity in the document repository.
  • Support underwriters during the underwriting process, providing administrative assistance and aiding in business development and marketing.
  • Perform data checks to ensure accuracy of underwriting data and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams, providing necessary support to other classes of business when required.

Professional Experience:


  • Minimum 12 months relevant experience in underwriting support.
  • Knowledge of Energy, Marine, Aviation, Financial Lines, and/or A&H business.
  • Familiarity with underwriting, claims, and facultative reinsurance processes.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Experience in supervising the accuracy of offshore service partners is advantageous.
