This role involves the service, repair and maintenance of all trailing equipment in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the maintenance and workshop procedures.

Duties

Intermediate diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service
Intermediate servicing for all fleet, including trucks, trailers, dolly's and motor vehicles in accordance with the maintenance and workshop procedures
Replacement of brakes, suspension components and steering systems
Basic body building, including welding and grinding
Auto electrical work on all 12 or 24 volt systems
Ensure workshop is kept neat and tidy
Paperwork completed accurately
Growth in the efficiency of servicing, repairs and maintenance
Responsible and accountable for a safe working environment reporting any safety incidents or concerns to the Manager or Supervisor
Understanding and complying with the Chain Of Responsibility
Ensuring compliance with all relevant OH&S requirements
Conforming to quality systems and procedures
Following all applicable policies and procedures
Housekeeping to be of a high standard
Correct PPE worn at all times as per safety regulations
