About - Communications and Marketing

The University's Communications and Marketing (UCM) function provides strategic, advisory and operational services to support the academic mission and the University strategy.

It fosters a culture of best practice and collaboration across the University's communication and marketing teams and stakeholders and uses data-driven insights to inform decision-making across the University.

The Digital Strategy and Channels (DSC) team delivers key digital strategies for the University. We are a highly collaborative team, we value and leverage our collective expertise to drive value and excellence.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced delivery manager and digital professional to play a vital leadership role in the delivery of transformative digital projects and uplift our delivery capability across the entire organisation.

You will also act as a key storyteller, promoting the work, value and excellence of the team to senior stakeholders.


Reporting to the Associate Director Digital Strategy and Performance, the role will collaborate with colleagues across Digital Strategy & Channels team to support the strategic and integrated planning process, establish and continuously improve ways of working and provide leadership to manage and deliver key strategic digital priorities.


This is a critical role to ensure project activities strategically aligned and will establish digital delivery frameworks and processes that empower teams to deliver excellent results.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage and delivery of integrated planning across Digital Strategy and Channels.
  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, escalations, notifications and updates across relevant and priority Digital projects and initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, oversight, and governance to DSC and align to UCM integrated planning and ways of working for quarterly planning, reviews and showcases.

About You

You are an established and effective people leader with the ability to coach others and support them through times of transformational and cultural change.

You have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to convey diverse topics and captivate a range of audiences.

You have a strategic mindset and an ability to operate both at a high-level and in details, you approach challenges with creative problem-solving and take advantage of synergies.


You will also have:

  • Extensive work experience within relevant digital, digital marketing and communications field and tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, finance, business or or equivalent industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in delivery of digital programs, project portfolio management and governance working in an agile environment.
  • Experience with project management systems, frameworks, tools processes and how these are practically implemented in an agile environment.
