Policy Officer
- _Salary: $91,418 to $103,725 (Plus Superannuation)_

- _Usual work location: 121 Exhibition St, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)_
The Policy Officer is responsible for working across the Manufacturing and Industry Development Unit and the broader department to support the design of industry development policy and strategies to leverage internal and external opportunities to strengthen industry and sector development.
The position sits within the Industry Development and Manufacturing Sovereignty branch and assists to develop high level industry wide strategies across a range of key sectors.
The key accountabilities of the role will include:
- Prepare a range of written communications for an internal and external audience including business cases and value propositions for external audience and briefs and reporting for senior department executives.
- Provide industry research and analysis and strategic advice and opportunities and risks for the advanced manufacturing sector.
- Assist in the pursuit of strategic opportunities for industry across the department, government and industry that are aligned with the government's priorities.
- Support relationships with key external stakeholders, including planning and implementing stakeholder consultative forums, and work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders.
- Provide project support and responsibility for programs and initiatives across priority sectors with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
