06-Mar-2023A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Network Design Manager to join our Melbourne based client on a permanent basis.

This role makes up part of the Senior team and will see you lead the network and telephony capability for new and existing services under operational support.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for operational management/technical leadership of all network, telephony and unified communications services, in collaboration with service partners achieved through the management and direction of colleagues, contractors and vendors in designing, maintaining and optimizing the IT network, telephony and unified communications landscape
Responsible for delivering and updating the strategy and roadmap to future proof our client in terms of network, telephony and unified communications
Provide governance oversight, standards and technology roadmap for enterprise Network, Telephony and Unified Communications services
Provide input on developing and refining architectural standards
Support Project teams on all technical change requests, risks & issues, schedule detail and any governance support, and sign off of all technical deliverables
Govern transition to support activities on behalf of the Operational team
Assists the SDM Infrastructure to manage key service providers to contracted service levels
Establishes a oneteam culture across key Service Providers, internal staff and captive resources
Manages resources in offshore locations (captive) to maintain service levels

Skills and experience required:

***- ITIL Foundations Certificate

Expertise across Cisco, Palo Alto, Solarwinds, F5 platforms & SDWAN devices
Vendor Certifications such as CCNP/CCDP level engineer required, CCIE/CCDE preferred
A minimum of 10+ years' experience network, telephony and unified communications services support and improvement activities
7+ years in a Technical Network Lead or similar capacity
10+ years' experience working as a Network Engineer on large enterprise environments
Expert level knowledge utilizing tools like Wireshark, Sniffer, Observer, Netskope
Expertise across Cisco Nexus & Catalyst platforms routers, switches, voice & wireless
Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) & Cisco Prime Infrastructure
Experience with writing technical designs and implementation plans
Consultative with excellent written, communication, interpersonal and problemsolving skills
Experience working in 24x7 centres with complex, missioncritical, high availability environments
Vendor management capability
Experience managing offshore teams
Experienced managing large IT service providers
