ESSENTIAL:

The position requires the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent, suitable for membership to a relevant professional association.
Extensive knowledge of floodplain, stormwater and waterway management principles and processes including urban hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, geomorphology, and ecology.
Knowledge of the legislative framework, policies, and procedures applicable to local government.
Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, management and mentoring of a team.
Demonstrated experience in providing operational and policy advice regarding complex development.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
NSW Class C driver licence

DESIRABLE:
Relevant post graduate qualifications

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

Permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
This position is a Grade 8, salary range is $102,780 p.a. with progression to $113,450 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $120,394 p.a.
Flexible working hours are available.
3.5% civil liability allowance.
A mobile telephone is provided.
A motor vehicle benefit is available in accordance with Council policies.
