The Opportunity

Reporting to the National Operations Manager - Visy Global Forwarding (VGF) and based at our office in Epping (Vic), you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, competition, and other relevant factors to determine the optimal prices for the products or services offered by VGF.

As our Pricing & Tender Analyst, you will have an expertise in statistical analysis, ad hoc quoting, RFQ pricing input and data modelling.

Your Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Support global tender management including modelling & analysis (all modes of transport) relative to Australian segment of tender opportunity.
Evaluate customer margins and work with sales, procurement, global pricing/tender, and operations teams to ensure profitable quotes, tenders (RFQ/RFP/RFI) and contracts are communicated.
Provide market rate benchmarking for key trade lanes and report on Australian pricing and market trends and developments.
Coordinate the annual rate review process for VGF and prepare reports to review rate levels, ensuring accurate system maintenance and margin controls.
Assist with establishing improved budget targets and analyzing volume variation, market mix, and carrier allocation to track monthly performance to budget.
Maintain consistency, uniformity and accuracy of all master data needs and other master data domains (Utilization of Catapult Quotation Management System (QMS) and CargoWise One for quotations and research as required).

To be considered you must have:

Significant experience within the Freight Forwarding with in-depth knowledge of all freight forwarding products and services
Knowledgeable in functional experience in air/ sea/ logistics / customs brokerage / Cartage
Knowledge of pricing principles within freight forwarding is essential
Advanced skills in analyzing complex data, developing pricing models etc.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively with crossfunctional teams
Strong commercial acumen
Strong CargoWise system knowledge
