About the role
We are seeking a natural leader who will lead the implementation of business strategies and provide leadership and support to the Area Managers that report to you.
You'll be a self-starter, who can readily create rapport with people at all levels whilst keeping sight of the bigger picture.
Based in Darwin and will require relocation
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coaching to newly appointed and experienced Area Managers whilst responding to critical operational needs in a timely and empathetic manner
- Work with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Local Community Stakeholders, and Store Management to meet local community needs for store operating hours, stock levels, store promotions, local employment, and nutrition initiatives.
- Work closely with General Manager Retail to deliver on business and retail strategies
- Deliver on agreed budgets and oversee P&Ls across varying retail models
- Become culturally aware and understanding of the dynamics of each remote community in which we operate.
- Drive innovation while maintaining tried and tested processes
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of five years' experience at a senior level in retail operations or have been a multisite manager for a significant retailer
- Experience of budgeting, retail industry financial modelling, risk analysis, and business development due diligence
- Experience in retail workforce engagement, attraction, and improvement.
- Experience interpreting revenue, gross profit, expense ratios, and stock control and assessing opportunities for improvement.
- Experience solving reallife business challenges with highlevel problemsolving skills.
- A drive to coach and empower your team to work, think and act safely.
- Highlevel skills in the Microsoft Office Suite
