Compliance Manager in a
FATCA/CRS Advisory capacity, to join its high performing Financial Crime Compliance Team.


In this broad, business-wide role, reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance, you'll be instrumental in assisting, advising and supporting in a Line 1 capacity across the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team to meet its local regulatory and global regulatory
FATCA/CRS Advisory obligations.


You'll be tasked with providing FCC advice to ING's retail business where you'll use your exceptional analytical and writing skills, decision making ability, communication and interpersonal skills.

What you'll do

  • Provide Financial Crime advice (FATCA/CRS) to the 1st line Retail business, KYC Centre of Excellence and KYC Operations on all global and local requirements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the global KYC Policies and local FATCA/CRS Program and procedures and maintain adequate oversight.
  • Support all business initiatives in an end to end capacity across the Retail business with all RSCAs and Product Approval Reviews.
  • Participate in the annual Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and the Systemic Integrity Risk Assessment (SIRA).
  • Ensure projects are compliant end to end and participation in FATCA/CRS related projects and ensure milestones are met.
  • Liaise with AFCA as needed to manage any KYC escalations
  • Take a proactive stance in promoting and maintaining an effective and sustainable compliance culture throughout the organisation through training programs across a variety of business units (contact centre etc.) and review all Line 1 procedures and KYC etc.

What we're looking for

  • Strong Financial Crime Compliance (FATCA/CRS) advisory experience within a 2nd line FCC team from the banking and financial services industry, ideally Retail banking in a global bank (hands on sanctions experience will be highly regarded).
  • Sound knowledge of Australian FATCA/CRS laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the financial services industry specifically related to FATCA/CRS and FCC advisory.
  • The ability to comprehend and research complex compliance issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully negotiate and deal with change.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify issues quickly and provide business orientated solutions.
  • The ability to consider alternative solutions to a problem while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
