Maria Montessori are looking for a permanent part time language teacher - beginning 2023. Teach only during term times.Maria Montessori Preschool was established in 1977 in Mt. Waverley and after 21 years relocated to Wheelers Hill. We are a registered private Kindergarten with long day care, operating 50 weeks per annum, closing over Christmas/New Year.
The Preschool is committed to the true Montessori approach and adheres to the principles and practices of a Montessori education.
It is staffed by qualified, experienced, and caring teachers with many years of experience.We are seeking an experienced language teacher to join our friendly team, you are required to have the following:
- Proficiency in a second language, preference is Auslan, Italian or Japanese.
- A recognized Early Childhood and/or Primary Teaching qualification or Diploma as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of NQS, EYLF and childcare regulations.
- Current first aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR, preferred but not a necessity.
- Valid WWCC.
- Plan and deliver a language program for children between ages of 3
- Record and maintain observations of children's progress and development.
- Contribute to children's portfolios and weekly reflections.
- Capacity to build positive relationships with all members of our community.
