Our client a large NSW state government department is seeking a

Video Production Support Officer on a short term contract role. This role is based in Paramatta with WFH options available.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Produce a range of communications content and materials to provide quality, accurate and relevant information to stakeholders, including editing and postproduction of video content.
  • Repurpose and reformat video content for all relevant external and internal channels including social media
  • Translate audio, video, graphics and digital animation and other digital media content into various distributable formats
  • Manage digital media data, monitor/maintain server storage and maintain software and hardware for digital media acquisition, player and editor servers.
  • Create physical backups of stored content on servers and is responsible for keeping records of all content available for viewing, downloading and archiving.
  • Coordinating multiple projects in a fastpaced environment with frequently adjusting priorities.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of the departments priorities and emerging issues to ensure development of communications that are effective in reaching target audiences.
  • Providing video and multimedia advice and technical support and support video conferencing services with the broader cluster.

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • 34 years of experience in video editing and post production role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop and working knowledge of After Effects
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation software
  • Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with an eye for detail and visual composition.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Character Animator desirable
