The Commercial [Dealing] Manager is responsible for leading the global dealing framework across our domestic and international corporate customer base, to improve revenue performance and ensure commercial arrangements are fit-for-purpose.

This role will optimise and integrate our onshore and offshore dealing approach, with a key priority to leverage the global Qantas footprint and sales regions, including working with alliance partners across complex commercial agreements.

Supported by two Dealing Analysts, the role will continue to build a global strategy and associated processes to support both the AU-based and offshore sales teams in maintaining and growing Qantas' competitive market position.


This role would suit someone with a strong commercial mindset, who is adept at working with complex data elements to build comprehensive and successful commercial arrangements.

Strong communication and presentation skills are key, with this highly collaborative role working closely alongside Sales, Sales Performance and Revenue Management to ensure optimal outcomes for both our customers and the business.


You'll have:

  • At least 5 years' prior experience in a sales, strategy, revenue management or related commercial position
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with an ability to generate pragmatic solutions and identify and explore new revenue opportunities
  • Advanced Excel, data analysis and modelling capabilities, including strong communication skills to distil and convey recommendations to senior levels in the organisation and external customer stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to influence and challenge effectively whilst maintaining appropriate relationships through strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies and negotiation frameworks
  • Leadership, coaching and people development experience
  • CRM (Salesforce) knowledge
  • Ability to effectively work across different time zones and cultural contexts
