The role Reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Assurance, you will provide knowledgeable infrastructure design advice, assurance, and support services to co-ordinate the delivery of planned, integrated, and efficient building design and assurance response.

You will Identify, research, and analyse trends in health infrastructure design and provide knowledgeable technical support and advice to the Senior Director, Technical Assurance.

Supervision and management of staff will be a key aspect of the role as well as leading and participating in the day-to-day activities of the technical and assurance committees, programs, and other related meetings on behalf of the Senior Director.

You will provide knowledgeable technical support and facilitation of services to support health infrastructure master planning, design, assurance, capital delivery and whole of life infrastructure management to ensure a planned, integrated and risk managed approach.

You will establish and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, proactively managing high level communication and consultation to ensure accurate advice, briefings, reports, and submissions on technical and engineering infrastructure reviews.

The successful personTo be successful in this role you will have the ability to understand and analyse the health service requirements for building technical and engineering services and decision making for delivery of quality and sustainable health infrastructure.

You will have proven high-level experience and demonstrated results in driving continuous improvements that shape clients needs to achieve better performance outcomes.

Strong experience in providing strategic direction and operational leadership to a team within a complex and changing environment will be vital as well as the ability to travel to different locations depending on project and team requirements.

You will demonstrate knowledge of government direction, policy and laws regarding building technical and engineering standards and related issues relating to the delivery, commissioning and maintenance of built assets and major plant infrastructure.

Although not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
