ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Work within a highly supportive and fun team at Local Council, based South of Sydney CBD as a Communications Officer.

You will work alongside 3 Communications Officer and be provided thorough coaching and mentoring to ensure your success in the role.

ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start on an initial 3 month contract until the end of the FY.

Reporting to the Coordinator of Communications and Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in researching, monitoring engagement activities, providing administrative assistance as well as building constructive relationships.

DUTIES.

Provide assistance to the team and liaise with key members of this Local Council
Assist with researching and preparing vital information to be used for public relations material
Develop and implement community engagement activities such as surveys, focus groups, workshops etc.
Utilising internal correspondence management systems and databases
Report writing, formatting and creating of documents

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

Relevant Communications qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working experience in using the whole Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to demonstrate creativity and problemsolving skills
