    About the Company:

    The Lindsay Group proudly operates an extensive Rural and National Transport and Logistics business across various locations connecting growers, regional communities and businesses with cities and sellers of fresh food across Australia. As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs. Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions.

    Today we employ over 1,800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.

    The Role:

    6-month maternity leave contract based at our Brisbane Depot in Acacia Ridge.

    Our Workforce Coordinator works closely with the Depot team, HR and Safety teams to ensure a smooth & compliant recruitment process of Truck & Forklift Drivers.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Screen resumes, conduct interviews & reference checks.
    • Coordinate & check new starter paperwork, including booking medicals, checking induction paperwork.
    • Conduct site inductions for new staff, contractors, and visitors.
    • Check and follow up on safe driving plans, work diaries and run sheets to ensure completion and accuracy.
    • Conduct and document toolbox talks.
    • Manage driver hire and non-conformance issues as required.
    • Assist in the management of depot records such as site risk register updating, refrigeration servicing, cold room servicing, temperature calibration, pest control, and site risk assessments.

    About you:

    To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

    • Experience in a similar role within blue collar, transport / logistics and compliance highly regarded.
    • Have excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
    • High attention to detail, excellent planning and organisational skills
    • The ability to undertake a range of administrative tasks.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
    • High level of initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
