CHE Proximity is looking for a new breed of Investment & Trading Lead

Responsibility
Product

  • Be ultimately accountable for the Implementation Planning and Buying of Samsung media (including briefing out media, developing plans, negotiation of rates/value, and delivery assurance, spanning both offline and online
  • Ensuring client campaigns are executed and amplified in an effective, efficient, and future facing The scope of Investment incorporates traditional media (TV, Cinema, Out of Home, Radio, Print, Digital Video and Direct Display, Addressable TV, Programmatic OOH, Music Streaming and Podcasting).
  • Lead education across the wider media team on the market landscape, trading nuances and publisher updates
  • Utilise expert media knowledge and your wealth of industry experience to uncover innovative insights in the media space that drive strategic growth for your client's business proactively seek out strategic trading opportunities that make a difference
  • Lead large scale annual negotiations end to end, including preparation of briefing materials, negotiation strategies and analysis, benchmarking and contract fulfilment. Ensuring best in class rate positions and added value is achieved for Samsung
  • Be a master negotiator, you are able to resolve issues in a fair and objective manner
  • Work with the Planning Lead to embed a 'screens based' buying approach, with traditional offline traders buying BVOD and other video formats to deliver a "screenneutral" solution for clients to optimise effectiveness and efficiency
  • Expertise in media planning principles (e.g., scheduling, flighting, recency, effective reach theories, seasonality, market prioritisation, roles of all communication channels) and exceptional ability to utilise agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendation.
  • Accountable for all campaign delivery, including performance against KPIs, added value. Audience metrics, contract tracking, budget controls
  • Accountable for Invoicing accuracy across the above channels, ensuring your team addresses and resolves AQs and missing evidence at pace
Relationships

  • Spearheading media partner relationships ensuring we maintain positive relationships with all partners and driving up agency media i scores
  • Build and maintain the strong relationships with clients and instill a sense of confidence and trust
  • Ensure a consistent client and media engagement plan including Upfronts, conferences, etc
  • Ensure clients are kept up to speed on market changes and publisher updates
People

  • Providing oversight to the trading team's output, ensuring media is planned with measurable outcomes that align with the briefed business priorities with reporting delivered to a high standard.
  • Work hand in hand with the Planning Lead, Senior Account Directors and Head of Media, ensuring ETAs and progress on requests/projects are clearly communicated.
  • Working in partnership with the Planning Lead, Senior Account Directors, and Strategist on the assessing the response back from publishers to ensure it delivers on strategy and planning KPIs
  • Effective management and leadership of any direct reports, conduct performance discussions and delivery of career plans. Ensure there is clear understand of their role and responsibilities and set clear direction for all team members.
  • Workload/ prioritization management ensuring effective delegation to your team on tasks.
  • Be responsible for assessing the training needs of your direct reports and ensure they are attending adequate training to drive the crosschannel trading ambition
