About the Opportunity

We are seeking a driven administrator who is looking to become an integral part of the team at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital - Outpatient Department.

You will require outstanding administration skills and be highly organised in your work.

What You'll be Doing

To provide high quality administrative support and customer service for all users of the Outpatients Department/Service as well as provide support to various Outpatient areas within Bankstown Hospital.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia.

This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.


The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Experience in a frontline customer service role and the ability to effectively deal with the general public
  • Demonstrated experience utilising Microsoft word, excel and outlook programs
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and under mínimal supervision
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem solving and conflict negotiation skills
  • Previous experience in revenue collection including knowledge of Medicare billing processes
  • Knowledge of hospital information systems or willingness to learn
