Why Your Role Matters:


The Executive Officer plays an integral role within the Future Students team in providing advanced executive and strategic executive support to the Director, Future Students, and other key Future Students executive team stakeholders.


The role entails providing strategic advice on appropriate governance structures to support effective decision making and ensuring activities are compliant with UNSW requirements.

The Executive Officer significantly contributes to strategic and operational projects across the Future Students team, supporting the delivery of international and domestic student recruitment strategic goals.

The role reports to the Head of Future Student Strategy, Analytics & Operations and has four direct reports.


Who You Are:


  • We are seeking a proactive individual who will lead and influence with ease, ensuring stakeholder involvement and efficient project resolution. Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for success in this role as you will steward budgets, prepare reports, and coordinate documentation for executive level team members. _
  • It is essential that you understand the importance of adhering to governance policies and always work with discretion and initiative_
  • A relevant tertiary qualification with extensive experience and/or extensive expertise working in a large, complex environment, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Proven skills and experience in strategic, workflow and resource planning within the higher education sector, goal setting and project management.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and train team members, to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others.
  • Excellent consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, and high cultural sensitivity to communicate across multiple geographies.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and demonstrated success in delivering projects in a relevant setting, often to tight deadlines, and the proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet strict and/or tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering strategies, programs, and initiatives across local and international markets.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
