_About the role:
_

With a strong pipeline of projects ahead, BMD is looking for a Survey Technician to join the Melbourne based Urban business to provide comprehensive & timely support to the site teams by acquiring accurate photogrammetry data of BMD projects.

This role will be a hands on support role and will be the drone pilot across varying projects in land development (greenfield and brownfield) in Greater Melbourne.

Survey equipment asset management and tracking, data management and basic survey troubleshooting
Usage of GPS and UAV drone remote pilot for the region
Assist the Estimating department with calculations

_To be successful in this role, you will need: _

Have a CASA RPAS Operator Accreditation or RePL accreditation (CASA).
Experience with the use of propeller desirable.
Experience working on civil construction sites with sound knowledge of civil construction and survey basics (Trimble, Topcon and Leica)
Proven ability to interact and communicate at all levels, and specifically with site personnel around their needs.
Computer literate (MS Office etc.)
Strong interest in technology and ability to follow BMD RPAS and Survey procedures
Ability to work autonomously, think critically and offer solutions to problems when required
Exceptional time management skills
Strong interest in training and supporting internal staff around drone related queries and Propeller
Drivers license
