Finance Business Partner

Golding is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. This role is based in Milton but will require occasional travel to various mine sites.

Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. The role will be based in Brisbane but will require occasional travel to various mine sites.


Management Accounting

  • Work with the other Specialist Accountants and Finance Manager to produce month end reporting packs such that these are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Work with Mining General Managers, Project Managers, and Maintenance Managers to provide support and assistance with preparation of month end financials, and variance commentary;
  • Assist Project Managers with monthly revenue and cost reforecasts, including budgets;
  • Provide support to Golding's Financial Accountants, and Finance Admin Officers, for various Finance and Accounting matters

General

  • Provision of a Finance Business Partner function to Golding's Mining projects.
  • Work with the Mining General Managers, Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Maintenance Managers across these projects to provide Financial and Commercial support;
  • Understand each contractual arrangement on the projects you support such that you can analyse and identify divergence from contract scope and provide advice to the project leadership on the resolution of issues
  • Assist Mining Project Managers with annual budgeting process;
  • Assist the Mining Projects to identify areas for improvement, and help facilitate implementation of business improvement ideas, and subsequent roll out to other projects;
  • Provide advice, education and coaching to project leaders designed to improve the quality and consistency of accounting, contract, commercial and administration activities;
  • Prepare adhoc reports and other data and information as required; and
  • Ensure Golding business practices, processes, and accounting policies are applied consistently and adhered to across all projects.

Personal attributes and experience:


  • Degree in Finance (or equivalent) and CPA/CA qualified;
  • Management accounting experience within a project business;
  • Experience in forecasting and financial modelling. Must have advanced excel skills;
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload;
  • High level of analytical, numerical and communication skills.
