Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Management Consultant to support projects across both Defence and non-Defence sectors.
Role responsibilities

  • Providing business and strategic advice to assist in improving the function of the organisation, including supervision of financial and commercial processes.
  • Analysing and identifying opportunities for the improvement of business management practices for largescale Defence programs.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of objectives, strategies, plans, and processes aimed at improving the functionality and capability of the organisation.
  • Support and encourage the development of goals, methodologies and plans pointed at accomplishing client fulfillment and the effective utilisation of organisations' assets.
  • Implementing business improvement outcomes and recommendations through close collaboration with business leads and supply chain stakeholders to identify and agree a set of performance metrics.

Requirements:


  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously against demanding schedules and budgets.
  • Experience facilitating successful delivery of contracts for innovative technology development within a Defence environment.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams across diverse locations and coordination with various stakeholders to manage contract risks (e.g., provision of GFx, security requirements, and access to Defence officials).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships (e.g., Defence, industry, and academia) to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Welldeveloped oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience using accepted best practice project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to grasp and assess complex information to create a shared understanding within the project team of contract scope, objectives and overall performance.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering standards and their tailoring to individual project requirements.
You will require a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience:

  • Have (or be eligible for) UK or Australian security clearance (essential)
  • Project management and consultancy experience, preferably working with clients in Defence or Defence industry (essential)
  • Experience in Technology Management and Innovation management across large scale Defence projects. (essential)
  • Formal Project Management Qualifications. (essential)
