How you will make an impact
The Patient Services Assistant performs activities and duties within the Patient Services role, including but not limited to Patient Registrations and Admissions, Day Oncology, and Emergency Department.
The role requires flexibility and being adaptable, as it's a busy and fast-paced environment and working shift work to assist in the provision of 24-hour service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide efficient and effective administration support.
- Create patient records and complete all necessary information accurately and in line with current procedures, including but not limited to Health Fund Eligibility checks.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professional standards when liaising with patients and external stakeholders.
- Admitting and discharging patients and collect out of pocket costs.
You will have:
You will be enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude, producing high-quality patient-centred support.- Ability to multi-task and deal with competing demands.- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a positive and friendly attitude.- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be flexible when needed.- Ability to work efficiently, autonomously, and respectfully within the team.- Capacity to maintain exceptional attention to detail in a high workflow environment.
