About the role


The role of the Community Liaison Officer, Roadhouse Services is to provide support to the clients of the Free Food Program.

The program runs from the Griffin Centre 6 days per week.

The Community Liaison Officer has primary responsibility for the provision of information and support of clients as well as supervision to volunteers.


As a Community Liaison Officer, you will be assisting clients who access the free food service with information, supporting and referring to other services to meet their needs.


What you will bring

  • Experience with a variety of diverse community services and or functions
  • Experience in case management and/or referral services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral with the ability to communicate with a broad range of people with special needs including mental illness and differing cultures
  • Experience of working alongside Aboriginal people and people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds
  • Working with Vulnerable People's Card and Driver Licence required

Further information
This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $77,584.00 FTE + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
