Key responsibilities:


  • Provide support to develop and regularly review guidelines, tools and templates ensuring they are contemporary and reflective of best practice, and practically implement the government's objectives, targets and commitments for procurement.
  • Assist in preparation of timely and well researched high level ministerial and executive correspondence, policy documents, briefs, Cabinet submissions, project documentation and other written materials supporting the complex operations of the Branch.
  • Contribute to the development of a range of communication and stakeholder engagement collateral such as a Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Plan and various factsheets, ensuring all collateral reflects the diverse nature of the Branch responsibilities and stakeholders needs.
  • Take a lead role in preparing for internal, interdepartmental or other meetings involving a wide range of industry stakeholders, and in conjunction with senior officers, attend and assist with minutetaking and followup actions as required.
  • Provide assistance to deliver training programs, stakeholder engagement and project management activities.
  • Support the activities of the Tripartite Procurement Advisory Panel, coordinating all activities and preparing a range of documentation including decision and outcome reports, arranging all administrative support including coordination of meetings and maintaining an accurate register of breach and sanction outcomes as per recordkeeping standards.
  • Maintain an effective records management system including oversight of Ministerial process for the Procurement Compliance Branch, ensuring adherence to department and government protocols.
