About the role


The Manager Portfolio Management is a part of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office team, responsible for influencing and supporting Queensland Rail's Capital Investment Plan.

The key function of the role is to support the efficient execution of the Capital Investment Plan and manage changes to ensure successful delivery.


Holding management and project oversight responsibilities, you must be able to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and lead/coach a team towards delivering time-sensitive outcomes within a dynamic and changing environment.

This is a permanent role based in Brisbane CBD.

  • Extensive knowledge of portfolio and program management and its relationship with strategic governance, operational planning and delivery performance.
  • High level of senior leadership skills in a large and complex organisation, focused on building a customer focused, performancebased culture.
  • High level of skill in performing portfolio, program and project management activities, focused on delivering complex outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • High level of skill in engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders in facilitating effective client management, utilising influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
