What you will do
Volvo Group Australia is seeking a Team Leader to support our PELC morning shift team. This role is offered on a temporary basis linked to build rate.

About the role:

  • Manage the team to ensure efficient and effective processing
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and stock rotation targets are met
  • Ensure all packaging material is presented correctly for collection per guidelines in a timely manner
  • Process all material to ensure daily and weekly productivity targets are achieved
  • Develop and present appropriate KPI results and reports on inventory topics
  • Lead activities to drive continuous improvement in your area
  • Motivate, encourage and manage performance of your team
  • Carry out performance feedback to employees about work performance and any issues that arise
  • In conjunction with your Supervisor oversee training requirements for your team.

Who are you?

About you:

  • A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a stores environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management systems (AS400, MACS, NTRP)
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hold a valid LF licence
  • Qualifications in Warehouse Operations (or similar) and Leadership/Frontline Management
  • Previous experience in implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Good knowledge of VPS Principles related to material flow
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and logistics management systems
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal to effectively engage with honesty, openness and respect
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Solid decision making and problemsolving skills
  • Passionate about always demonstrating safe workplace health, safety and environment practices
  • Work with VGA's core values of Customer success
