Project Superintendent
It's not every day you have the opportunity to be in involved in the start-up of a new mineTo make your
mark and be there from the beginning. Well, here is that long-awaited, rare opportunity to do just that - a
Greenfield mine in the Hunter Valley with all the associated excitement of building and being part of
something new.

The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced construction with
production planned of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine
targets high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

Maxwell is now seeking an energetic and skilled Project Superintendent - Services on a 12-month contract.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

As the Project Superintendent, some of the duties will include:

Manage various projects from scoping, costing, planning, execution and close out.
Facilitate design of services infrastructure including interactions between various disciplines.
Manage contractor and subcontractor interactions.
Ensure works are delivered to the desired quality and design.
Ensure works are carried out safely with regular safety inspections and improvements.
Work with other stakeholders to support the commencement of mining operations.

Skills and Experience:

10+ years experience as an engineer working on projects within a mining environment.
Completed an Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) qualification, or extensive trade experience.
Ability to interpret and manage to active project schedules.
A high level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft software packages.
Demonstrate safety and environmental leadership behaviour.
Flexible and able to work under pressure.
Experience working on the client side within a mining environment.
