Opportunity currently exists for an experienced Logistics Line Manager to join the logistics team based in our Campbellfield Factory.

The Campbellfield factory produces confectionery brands such as Kit Kat, Allen's, Nestlé, Milky Bar, Smarties, Aero, Soothers, QuickEze, Chokito and many more which delight consumers worldwide.


The Logistics Line Manager role will lead Warehouse, Transport and Palletisation/Despatch operations to ensure compliant, efficient, safe and timely movement of raw materials into the factory and finished goods product out of the factory.

Longer term the role will involve exposure to Production Planning as well to provide professional development and a holistic understanding of the factory.


A day in the life
Reporting to the Factory Logistics Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Providing hands on leadership to Warehouse, Palletisation/Despatch and Transport teams to develop team capability and ensure all operations are safe, efficient and comply with all required legal and Nestle standards.
  • Coaching team members and instilling a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to enhance safety and performance.
  • Manage relationships internally within the factory as well as externally with Nestle DCs, third party transport and thirdparty warehousing providers. Drive win as one team mindset.
  • Setup and maintain systems/procedures within the factory such as cycle counts, stock takes, workplace inspections, racking inspections, Chain of Responsibility, Document Management System (DMS) and Secure Disposals. Actively identify process gaps and implement systems/procedures to address.
  • Ensure Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) needs for the factory are optimised and labour requirements are planned for efficiency.
  • Backfilling Production Planning at the factory on an ad hoc basis as part of longerterm development.

  • You will be a handson leader with proven line management experience. You will be comfortable dealing with technology as well as paperwork and using that knowledge to coach others.
  • Strong influencing skills and a passion for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop people in a factory environment.
  • Demonstration of Leadership skills recognising performance achievements, in setting expectations, coaching winning behaviours and using everyday coaching to develop a high performing team.
  • Expertise working with SAP and MS Office. Able to leverage technology to streamline processes.
  • Enjoy working in Physical Logistics and also possess the analytical and technological savvy to pursue professional development in Production Planning as part building long term leadership capability.
