- Field survey and subsequent report preparation for a variety of flora and fauna assessments.
- Thorough understanding of the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM).
- Preparation of a variety of environmental assessment and management reports including;Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs),.Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR),.Flora and Fauna Assessment Reports Vegetation Management Plans (VMP),.Biodiversity Management Plans, BSSARs.
- Undertaking flora surveys throughout New South Wales including verification and mapping of threatened ecological communities, regional ecosystems, vegetation communities, threatened species and biosecurity species.
- Maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory agencies, and leading the delivery of proposals and technical reports for clients .
- Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear and concise reports and correspondence.
- Experience in classification and mapping of vegetation communities using the NSW BioNet Vegetation Classification.
- Knowledge of threatened fauna, their habitat and management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a consulting ecology position (or industry equivalent) with relevant experience in the production of the aforementioned BDARs, REFs,, VMPs, BSSARs etc.
- BAM accreditation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NSW driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel, sometimes remotely, to perform duties as required by fieldwork.
