For this role, we believe your starting points are:

- degree or diploma qualified in Geospatial Science, Geoscience, Geography, or Environmental Science with a strong focus on GIS

  • 35 years' experience in GIS consulting
- expert knowledge in GIS and excellent understanding of ESRI desktop GIS software
- knowledge of the ESRI online platform

  • Python and FME skills are desirable but not essential
- georeferencing skills and a solid understanding of coordinate systems
- strong cartographic skills
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency using Microsoft Office Products, including desktop and O36- ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently
- ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- positive attitude.


About the Position

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • map figure creation and spatial analysis to meet project needs
- spatial data management
- assist in the digitization of spatial and non spatial data
- assist in managing, updating and creating online GIS data and platforms
- convert, update, and review the quality of GIS data and outputs in various formats
- provide and support mobile spatial data capture solutions
- work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- develop effective working relationships in a team environment
- work with experienced senior geospatial consultants

  • Newcastle based, supporting our wider Australian teams.
