The opportunity:


The World Scabies Program is not just a job; it's a commitment to making a real impact on public health worldwide.

As a World Scabies Project Officer, you'll be an integral part of a vibrant, diverse team dedicated to eliminating scabies and other Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

As our World Scabies Project Officer, you will spearhead initiatives in collaboration with governments and strategic partners. Your main focus will be on the elimination and control of scabies and NTDs.

Join us as we implement ground-breaking programs in the Pacific Region and beyond, assessing disease burden, designing control programs, implementing mass drug administration and strengthening health systems.

Get ready to embark on a journey This role is not confined to a desk. You'll be jet-setting to different corners of the globe, working closely with in-country teams and Ministries of Health. Your on-the-ground technical expertise and support will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our programs.


Your responsibilities include:


In coordination with the Program Manager and Country Managers, supports project management from submission to delivery including development and implementation of country workplans in line with the overall program strategy and funding requirements.

Takes on and leads specific projects as identified by the Program Manager
Contribute to design, implementation and reporting of the program activities, including but not limited to surveys, training workshops, and program monitoring activities
Organise and facilitate regular meetings with country program staff, with limited support, to plan and achieve project outcomes


About you:

Degree/Honours/Masters in relevant field (e.g. global or public health, a health discipline, international development) Experience working in international development, global health or resource limited settings, particularly in Pacific Island countries
Experience in data collection, statistical analysis and reporting
Ability to regularly travel internationally to support program implementation, up to a month at a time
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders across different cultures and countries
