2 x experienced Compounder / blender Operators

Key responsibilities

Ensure that the line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so that the line runs as continuously as possible
Prepare plant and equipment in accordance with the code of GMP and relevant SOP's in readiness to formulate, having regard to all necessary documentation requiring data entry such as signatures.
Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during the run to achieve optimum output and mínimal downtime minimise wastage
Carry out formulation as per the Job Sheet
Ensure that all plant and equipment used in the process of formulating is in good safe working order eg; machine guards are in place. If such equipment is required to be calibrated, ensure that equipment is in calibration date.
Be able to operate and maintain equipment safely and change parts in a clean and orderly manner
Ensure that all raw materials are QC approved before using.
Ensure all raw materials being returned to the store are done so in the prescribed manner.
Able to lift 15kg on occasion throughout work shift
Ability to work independent, limited supervision
Troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to complete required safety training and maintain excellent housekeeping
Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership of responsibilities and follow instructions of leadership team
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Prior work experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
Must be able to multitask and be detail oriented.
At least two years' experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Beverage, Chemical, Packaging, or other FMCG industry is desirable but not essential.
Experience with setting up (and adjusting for changeovers) and / or cleaning of compounding machinery on a production line a must
