Rua Miles

Hi, my name is Rua. I work on creative productions such as music videos, music promo‘s, experimental video art installations, short films, and organising and assisting at exhibitions. I promote all of these projects online and on social media. 
 

I have worked as a creative producer at the successful music marketing agency Blackstar, using social media to promote artists such as OutKast, Spice Girls, and Lava La Rue.

I achieved a First Class degree in Moving Image (BA), including my written work - (Award for Recognition of Continued Achievement, School of Media 2018). 

I’ve continued to create interdisciplinary artwork, organise and promote exhibitions to share my work with the public, including at the OXO Tower on Thames river in London. As well as, assisting and promoting for other artists exhibitions.

I am a huge lover of contemporary art and music. I am looking for a diverse role which utilises my creative and communicative skills (both written and verbal). I am passionate, hard working and love working within a team to create something special!

• Content Producer - Blackstar Agency (July 2021 - January 2022 - 6 month job placement):
  - I successfully edited video and image assets for musicians and brands, including Outkast, Years
  & Years, Oasis, Rag"N"Bone Man and Lava La Rue. I responded to trends, whilst elevating the client’s existing style.
  - I completed 207 briefs, producing assets for 61 different clients, performing to short deadlines.
  - Abbey Road - Music Photography Awards - Videographer. I filmed Rankin, Simon Wheatley and
  Hak Baker. I adapted to changing schedules and communicated well with clients.
  - Marie Naffah !I Want More” - Assistant Director, B-Roll and BTS Videographer.
  - Mahogany - Video Editor of Online Adverts for Joy Crookes and Holly Humberstone.
  - Idea Doc. Contributor - including Blur and Charli XCX. I considered audience data and provided
  creative strategies to portray the artist’s narrative on social media.
  - I gave a presentation and Q&A for the charity Small Green Shoots; who help young people get
  jobs in the creative industries.
  - I communicated in a friendly, encouraging and professional way with colleagues and clients. I"d love to bring this supportive, positive approach to my new work environment.
