Regina Soares

I am a creative, observant and determined person. I like to work with notes, to organize myself with the activities of the day and the ones to come. With these qualifications, I believe I have the capacity to provide a great job.

My undergraduate thesis, in short, is a reflection on how media and fashion influence the creation of standards for the female body, a study of model Ashley Graham and how her work influences the acceptance of large bodies. In this paper, I also write about representation, Instagram and famous women who work to naturalize curvy bodies.

Body Positivity was also a topic worked on in an internship conducted online with Dr. Marilyn Bromberg from Australia, in which I was guided to build an article. I researched articles about body image for men and women to be a source of other projects and content for Facebook.

In addition, I researched and wrote an article on the topic 'The Image of the Journalist in Brazilian Cinema and Television', supervised by a professor and journalist from California. I reported information and characteristics of some journalist characters in films, soap operas, and news in Brazil, using the data to define the journalists’ programs and roles.

Additionally, I enjoy writing content related to mental and physical health; geek/nerd culture, and songs. I got interested in these topics after doing a 1-year internship at the college's radio, in which I learned how to make shorter and more direct informative content.
