I have over 4 years of experience in Construction Supervision and Project Management roles. Over these years, I have gained proficiency in Civil and Structural project supervision across a variety of multi-disciplinary high-profile road, bridges, building and water projects. My experience ranges from early construction planning through to the site establishment, actual construction execution and demobilization. With these roles, I have a good working knowledge of Fijian projects with standards adopted from Australia and New Zealand.

Contracts Involved in: 

FRA 18/38 Queen Elizabeth Drive Upgrade Stage 2 (Phase 2) – FJD 62 million 

The project involved the reconstruction of a 4.3-kilometer road with several components including coastal reclamation to expand and realign the road, implementation of new drainage systems and relocation of utilities and services as part of urban renewal efforts. Additionally, the project also enhanced pedestrian and cyclist facilities by constructing new footpaths and cycle lanes. 

FRA 18/12 Central Maintenance (Suva Zone 2) – FJD 50 million (Per Annum) 

The contract focused on the overall upkeep and enhancement of roads, bridges and jetties in the greater Suva area. The activities encompassed routine maintenance, prompt response to emergencies, and potential modifications within the limits of the funding constraints specified by the annual budget allocation. 

FRA 20-02C SARUP 2 Package C – FJD 34 million 

The project entailed the revitalization and enhancement of Foster Road, encompassing the selective replacement and repositioning of utilities, as well as the upgrading of road furniture, lighting, and footpaths within the road reserve. The main objective of this endeavor was to reconstruct approximately 1.6km of road pavement to ensure a design life of 25 years. 

FRA 18/38 Queen Elizabeth Drive Upgrade Stage 2 (Phase1) Nasese Bridge – FJD 7 million 

The project encompassed the construction of a single span bridge using a pile foundation, precast hollow core beams, and 50Mpa reinforced concrete for all other components. Additionally, 200 meters of coastal reclamation and preloading were conducted to facilitate the bridge approach and road realignment. 

FRA 20/15, 20/17, 20/18, 20/19, 20/26 Rip and Remake – FJD 55 million (Per Annum) 

The contracts focused on reducing potholes using innovative methods. The process included removing the existing Bituminous surfacing, checking, and improving crossfall with AP40 makeup material. Pre-sealing activities were carried out, followed by a 2-coat chip seal application based on New Zealand's chip sealing principles. The overall goal was to enhance road durability, promote safety, and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
