Linda Smith

I am a recognised as an empathic listener and communicative collaborator. My previous Counselling roles have strengthened my capabilities in interpersonal skills and communication, including a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

In my previous roles as Counsellor with Carer Gateway, I have conducted client assessments and introduced short- and medium-term interventions to meet the individual needs of clients who have experienced significant grief and loss, trauma, domestic and family violence and abuse as well as clients who are caring for loved ones with disability, frail age, cognitive decline and illness.

My recent qualifications include a Master of Counselling, Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Family Counselling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (Level 2). I have also undertaken specific training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, understanding the impacts of Trauma and therapeutic interventions to promote healing, supporting client through Grief and Loss, and working with complex clients.
