Services offered

With a strong background in teaching English as a Second Language in different countries around the world, a passion for fostering students' linguistic and cultural growth, and a commitment to reflective practice.

I hold a TESOL certificate from TEFL College in the UK and currently studying Graduate Certificate in Teaching (TESOL) with Tasmania University.

Over the past 6 years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups of ESL students Syria, Argentina and Iraq ranging from beginner to advanced levels, in various educational settings. In addition, working with Greenwich College and TAFE QLD, my experience has equipped me with the ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to students' needs, interests, and proficiency levels, ensuring a supportive and stimulating learning environment. Moreover, I have 4 years of experience working with Brisbane Catholic Education to support EAL/D students.

One of my key strengths is my dedication to reflective practice. Inspired by theories from Cox and Brookfield, I continually evaluate and adapt my teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes. I regularly incorporate student feedback, peer observations, and self-assessments to refine my approach and ensure that my lessons are both effective and relevant. Additionally, I actively participate in professional development workshops to stay current with the latest ESL teaching methodologies and to draw inspiration from real-world scenarios.

In my previous role at TAFE QLD, I successfully implemented a variety of interactive activities that improved students' speaking skills and overall language proficiency. I believe in the importance of creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom where students feel confident to express themselves and are motivated to achieve their language goals. By integrating authentic materials, technology, and real-life scenarios into my lessons, I strive to make learning English both practical and enjoyable.
