The Role

The Logistic and Assurance Manager is responsible for determining Anzac Class logistic capability shortfalls by effectively managing integrated logistic support.


Planning, conducting analysis of systems inclusive of remediation and assurance activities to ensure the Fast Frigate Helicopters (FFHs) are supported In Service Management and Through Life Support functions.


This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identify and coordinate key stakeholder input to manage supportability risks through the analysis of critical inventory systems and components to determine appropriate mitigation strategies, including but not limited to
  • integrated logistics support, materiel usage, funding requirements.
  • Perform the duties of a Designated Logistics Manager responsible for Technical and Configuration Management, Procurement, Inventory and Repair Management and Disposal.
  • Conduct first line logistic assurance activities of inService Support Contractors to determine compliance with Defence logistic policy and procedures.

About our Team

The Materiel Asset Assurance Section is a group within the Anzac Systems Program Officer which is located in Rockingham Western Australia.


The Materiel Asset Assurance Section team are highly motivated and professional individuals that provide verification and validation of contract deliverables in support of the Defence Seaworthiness outcomes for Naval ship repair activities across Platform, Combat, Logistics and Ship maintenance projects.

We value team focused people with ideas and the ability to present them persuasively; as well as the drive and skills to see them implemented.


The main function of the Materiel Asset Assurance Section team is the maintenance of the Safe and Seaworthy ANZAC Class Ships through governance, compliance and verification of ship repair tasking.


  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience managing a materiel logistic strategic program or projects in an Integrated Logistic Support preferably, maritime environment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills in order to build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders, at the strategic and operational level.
  • Advanced used if Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel) coupled with excellent report/brief writing skills.
