Full time, ongoing position within Operational Safety team
Based at Collins Street, Melbourne

About the team

Operations & Passenger Delivery (OPD) team is committed to keeping Melbourne moving by delivering exceptional passenger experiences through, on time, reliable, safe and efficient services.

We achieve this through face-to-face interactions by our frontline teams, supported by our safety operations, operational readiness, and network performance teams.

About the role

As the Safety Reporting & Assurance Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for the processing and trend analysis of safety data to support the identification of emerging risks and support the implementation of the Safety Management System across OPD.

Reporting to the Team leader, other key duties will include (but not limited to):

Monitor, report and follow up on the status of safety management systems data including Corrective Actions, Audits, Inspections and hazard reports.

Work with the Safety and Risk Data systems and its reporting inputs and outputs to enable safety decision making and implementation of the Safety Management System.

Improve accessibility of safety related information (including reports, procedures and policies) through a Sharepoint Platform.

About you
You will possess strong attention to detail and high level communication skills (written and verbal).

In addition, you will need to demonstrate:
Experience in providing service across multiple business areas in a similar environment
Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes
Intermediate to advanced knowledge and/or ability in using Microsoft Excel/Power BI or similar business intelligence/INX or equivalent SMSDS
Formal qualifications and proven relevant experience
