Navy Engineering Branch is looking for a high performing, experienced Manager with a background in Learning and Development, to lead the small but dynamic, integrated Navy Engineering Branch Professionalisation Team.

The EL1 Professionalisation Manager is accountable for the outcomes of the Professionalisation section within the Directorate of Professional Engineering and Governance (DPEG).

These outcomes support Director General Engineering - Navy (DGENG-N) in meeting their obligations as the Head of Professional Requirements for the Navy Engineering Community and in supporting the learning and professional development of the Navy Engineering Branch staff.

The role will be involved in the management of the engineering delegation framework from the Director General Navy Engineering (DGENG-N).

About our Team

The Directorate of Professional Engineering and Governance (DPEG) within Navy Engineering Branch is responsible for the business administration and governance of the Branch and supporting the professionalisation of the Navy Engineering workforce.

Highly developed verbal, written and computer communication skills to logically convey thoughts and ideas.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build sustain effective relationships and networks and an ability to influence key stakeholders in order to achieve effective strategic outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise strategic guidance on learning and development activities and ability to assess the potential risks and long term implications of this advice
Ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice.
Had previous exposure within Navy (of Defence) to understand the Engineering delegation framework would be highly desirable.
